World Food Competition 2023
Guru Nanak Institute of Hotel Management organized the Closing and Award Ceremony of the 7th World Food Competition at Taal Kutir Convention Centre, on 23rd February.
The competition saw huge participation from participants all across the globe. The three day mega event concluded at Taal Kutir with Chandru Basson from Namibia sweeping away the Best Chef Trophy; Lize-Van Der Merwe from Namibia again bagging the award for the Best Cake Icing competition; Shubha Ray from India winning the best fruit carving trophy and Viola Hoeflien from Austria being presented the best Mixology trophy.
The event was attended by MasterChefs Sanjeev Kapoor, Ajay Chopra and Kunal Kapur along with several hoteliers from five star properties and other eminent dignitaries. The event was not just a competition but also a platform to learn about global cultures.
